Employee Recognition Scheme
Our Employee Recognition Scheme is a great way to highlight the exceptional performance of individuals and teams across our company. The Company Directors select four annual winners from all the employees issued with Merit Awards during the year who each receive a cash prize.
The Rydalmere site provides an on-site canteen facility which is subsidised by the company and offers a range of hot and cold foods for breakfast, morning tea, lunch and snacks. The canteen is available to permanent employees, casuals, contractors and visitors.
Car Park and Public Transport
On-site parking facilities are provided for employees on most sites. Our Rydalmere site has free parking available on-site as well as a bus stop directly outside our front gates and is a short walk from Rydalmere Station.
Training and Education
Learning and development is an integral part of the Hunter Douglas culture. All employees are provided with formal and informal learning opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills in an effort to build the capability of individuals, teams and our organisation.
Further education at a TAFE or University is encouraged by Hunter Douglas Limited. After 12 months of employment at Hunter Douglas Limited, an employee may apply for study assistance.
The Rydalmere site has an active Social Club which offers an opportunity for all employees to develop good relationships with their fellow work mates by social interaction in a fun environment.
The company contributes to the Social Club by matching employees' contributions dollar for dollar.
The major functions organised by the Social Club usually include:
- A monthly BBQ or themed lunch which is free to Social Club Members;
- An end of year Christmas function at an up market venue with all food, drinks and entertainment provided; and
- A children’s Christmas picnic with a visit from Santa and presents for children 12 years and under.
