Textiles
The Hunter Douglas textile division develops and sources the most innovative fabrics and the best quality yarns locally and world wide. The yarn is woven into rolls of fabric which is used to make Roller Blinds, Sunscreens, Fabric Awnings, Vertical Blinds and Roman Shades. In addition, the division encompasses their own textile research & development department which makes continuous improvements to create unique fabrics that correspond to the highest quality standard, ISO 9001.

The Hunter Douglas Australia textiles mill is internationally recognised with coated fabrics & woven Sunscreens that are sold internationally to suppliers from around the world.

Hunter Douglas Limited operates an extensive textiles manufacturing facility at our Rydalmere site in Sydney. Hunter Douglas Limited is one of only a small number of weavers in the whole of Australia.

Highly experienced staff, stringent quality checks and continuous improvements in all processes are features of the textiles department.

There are 32 employees in the Textiles division, some with up to 34 years experience in the industry. Among these 32 employees is a diverse mix of cultures including Australian, Chinese, Philippines, Bangladesh, Dutch, Scottish and Fijian who collectively provide the Textiles division with a wealth of experience and knowledge from all over the world.
